9 Reasons Why Empathetic Leadership is Important

Because you don’t need a lot of accolades therefore you don’t give those on your team accolades, you’re making your leadership position solely about you, not your team.

 

There are leaders I’ve coached who have this mindset. They lead based on their own personal needs and preferences.

 

When you become a leader, it’s no longer all about you. It’s about your team.

 

Yes, you need to take care of yourself as well – that’s extremely important.

 

But if you lack empathy in your leadership approach, it disconnects you from your team.

 

How impactful and influential can you be as a leader if you’re disconnected?

 

Using an empathetic leadership approach does not make you weak. It does not mean you give in to everything.

 

That’s what many mistakenly believe.
